Our Family House

After a day at Home Depot doing a project with the kids, David was inspired to bring an empty box home.  With the supplies we had, David made the shape and openings.  He then spray painted it.  After a good coat of silver and red (from Cohen's robot costume two years ago), we let the kids do some painting.
Cohen seems to be the project manager.
 Galloway teamwork.

  Kennedy is so focused.

Taylin doing the finishing touches in our green grass (this was in October of 2011).  I forgot it could be green.  We didn't do winter grass this year, again.

Peek-a-boo, it is a good fit.
We can fill this one bedroom house.
Standard decorating needs.  Tile roofing, flowering.  We have learned that Cohen and Taylin don't agree on vines and window planters.  Taylin enjoyed this part the most.  The others preferred the base coats.
Mommy got a whole side of the house to herself.
 A little tight.

Do you have something for me to eat to help me out of here?
Next year's Halloween Costume.  We had a blast!  The kids put flashlights or headlights in the top holes and we had the fan blowing in a side window.  It would get a little stuffy.  They enjoyed playing in it while it lasted.  After a few months, a cardboard box didn't withstand the big bad wolf.  Off to the recycle bin it went.  I smiled when I saw stores selling box houses and other structures to color.  I love David's sense of adventure.  He dreams up all kinds of fun things to do with the kids.  I hope the kids will remember the several box forts/homes they have made with their dad.  I am sure there will be more in the near future after our next move.

They will probably remember it forever.
