Apparently we have really lived this tooth fairy thing up. Our 10 year old is very into it. Taylin lost a premolar. This one has been an adventurous one. First of all I let it soak all the blood off in a cup with water. I apparently forgot, dumped it down the sink and didn't realize that I did until the disposal made a strange sound. I went in and it was fine just a little chiseled.
We completely forgot the first night, last night...it was cold and we were up late watching the FSU vs. Auburn game.
Taylin set out her fairy figurines and a welcome sign.
I prepared a letter and cut it out (in 5pt. font):
Taylin,
Phew! It sure is a cold one! I don't have winter off, but I sure do have a hard time travelling in it. It is hard to get around. I also have to have special defrosting dust to get in those frozen windows. I am glad I made it tonight. I would hate to leave you waiting another night! That is quit a tooth! It looks like you are getting some work done in your mouth. You already have a beautiful smile. I hope you have comfort through all the appliances. Thanks for the fairy friend welcome. You are so thoughtful. It was very warming after such a challenging travel. Take care and stay warm!
Love,
Twinkle
Then I found her note. Had I known it was so elaborate, I would have waited to write a note. Looks like Twinkle (and Tandy) will be using the postal service. Taylin's letter:
Dear Twinkle,
First of all, I am sorry it took me so long to loose a tooth and second of all, it is good to have you back! I have some questions for you. Do you like my hair cut? My mom cut it. She cut it because I got lice and it got really bad (it's gone now). Did you get here safely? Is Peter Pan real? How old are you? When is your birthday! I turned 10 on Dec. 10. Sorry about all the questions, I just have so many. Oh, one more question, Do you know Topper and Tandy? They are my brother and sister's tooth fairy. You can take a "tour" around my house. I love having you as a tooth fairy. Have a safe trip back!
Your Friend,
Taylin
P.S. I put a note from my sister to Tandy. She was wondering if you could give it to Tandy. Thanks!!
Kennedy's Letter:
Dear Tandy,
Have you come and seen me in my fairy dreams? Because I have been looking for you in the morning. I really want a fairy dream. How long does it take? Am I going to see your fairy land and fly? Am I going to see your fashion? fashionable or regular clothes?
Love,
Kennedy
Well folks! I guess we feed our kids some crazy ideas...and they have many of their own. It is fun! When we started writing letters we didn't think about how many teeth times how many kids we would be dealing with here! Good times!
