Phoenix Bound

Well, we did find out where we are going. That is why I haven't posted in sooooo long, because we are consumed with planning the rest of our next few months. All that anxiety about where we might be...gone...now filled with what house in Phoenix are we going to live in. We have been looking at several websites and hundreds of homes/school districts/neighborhoods/commute, etc. With the prices dropped how they are, it isn't hard to find a good deal. Putting all the good homes with good districts and neighborhoods and a decent commute for David...that is a puzzle and a half! David is getting used to the idea of a commute. We have been so spoiled with less than five minutes to get much of anywhere. Also being around Texas schools as a student and an educator, Arizona schools are a bit different.

We are still excited about the move and new adventure, but buying a home from so far away is a bit overwhelming. Unfortunately for David...I am not allowed to travel more than an hour, since I was 34 1/2 weeks. He will be flying himself Easter weekend to go on the hunt. I really do trust him. He is a bit more realistic at this point. I have seen some potential in homes. David reminds me that we can afford something that doesn't need to be fixed up because of the prices. With a newborn and a husband in residency, fixer uppers aren't realistic for us. We have had more entertainment in the search. It is interesting to see what people do with their homes (i.e. colors, shapes, and space in general). We are getting close and hope to know soon what we call home.

We will keep you posted on our events! I still have some pictures to post from David's big match day. Oh, the things to do! I am also trying to finish up as many sewing projects as I can before our little one is born. I officially have four and a half weeks left. We shall see! Oh the suspense and more unknowns. It is an adrenaline rush, but a little anxiety comes with that. I am just ready for a moving date, so I know when to start packing.

I feel a little like one of the seals from San Francisco that David saw while away on his internship. I am one left in a group of friends pregnant! My turn soon.

I'm sure you guys will find something that will fit you. I was so excited to buy and then not too excited when all the puzzle (you know schools, neighbors etc) I'm happy that we will rent for a Year and then we will see. I can't wait to see the place you are going to live in. Guys you are really awsome:)

Congratulations!! What an exciting time! Isn't it funny how quickly your all consuming thoughts shift from "where will we match?" to the puzzle you explained? So fun and so exciting...enjoy it! Good luck these next few weeks!
