The Baby Checklist

To set everyone straight...I have to apologize for my anticipation of our little guy's arrival. I have done a good job at fooling myself as well as all those around me that he is overdue. Relative to my other pregnancies...he is! I have had them 10-11 days early. For this guy, that is today! I thought for sure he was coming earlier than that. My actual due date is May 1st. I am fine and not overdue. I am very anxious to sleep more comfortably and be a little more mobile. Maybe with those two in tact, I might be a little more pleasant. I apologized to David last night for being so grumpy. He is patient putting up with my grumpiness. I was really looking forward to him coming by now, so there is a comfortable window between his birth and graduation/moving. I feel so ready and was confident after certain things happened he would come. Taylin came at the perfect time for David and I to finish finals and before his undergrad graduation. Cohen waited until we settled into a new home and David got his first medical test done and then came. Kennedy also waited until we were unpacked in our new home and were comfortably in College Station to arrive (she was induced, because we were still commuting an hour to the hospital).

Here is number four's checklist. He is already much like his daddy and has a running checklist. If it is too much like David's, I might have to intervene.

1. Daddy treat mommy to a spa day! I loved it and enjoyed it with a very special friend, Jen. Maybe we are due to go again?!

2. Doctor was out of town. She is in town and well now!

3. David was out of town. He is back!

4. Easter. Happy Easter, come and gone.

5. Didn't want to be born on Tax day.

6. Has a bed other than a pack-n-play. Thank you Heidenreichs!

7. Mommy's hospital bag is packed (been living out of it for a week now).

8. Mommy's calling responsibilities completed.

9. Mommy visited sisters from church.

10. Daddy's campout (rained out).

11. Mommy finish sewing and pack it away (now I have nothing to keep my mind off the waiting).

12. Daddy and Mommy go on a date. Thank you, Chapmans!

13. Pack some boxes. Waiting on more boxes to fill.

14. Catch up on laundry. I have never been so ahead on laundry. Probably due to the sewing being put away.

Still to come, I guess.

15. Daddy gets over strep.

16. Kids get rid of pink eye.

17. Taylin gets better from stomach ache and sore throat.

18. Daddy's induction ceremony, tonight.

19. Find a house...he might never come. Although we have some leads today and can probably put our second offer on a home, today!

So does that mean tomorrow!!!???!

Can you tell I lack patience?

I really don't want to induce. I do like the anticipation and excitement of wondering when he will come, but not realizing I was going to have to wait and wait some more. I do get a little anxious when I have some good contractions and then...nothing for days. I also had a very specific dream last night of what time of day he will be here and what he looks like. Haven't had that before! David was busy that day at my brother, Rex's, basketball tournament. Yep it was a dream. Rex, do you have any tournaments I am dreaming about? If so, when, so I can change my time line.

Okay, so this post was mostly for me. I feel a bit better. We will keep you posted on any new news. I think I am moving my due date to May 9th (also David's graduation), so I might chill out. Maybe I should just learn patience/endurance!!!

spicy food, walking on the side walk but one foot up and the other down, being very romantic with David (sorry is this one made you unconfortable:S) clean, clean, clean. Those are things that has helped me to have my two girls before I had them. Ian but I couldn't do any of the above because my mom and my aunt were on town like 3 weeks before he was born:)

Holy Moly Amanda! I don't know how you do it all! You are superwoman. Your kids are so cute and I am amazed at your craftiness (did I just make that word up?) Good luck on baby #4 and the move. David's sister and her family live in Gilbert, so let us know if you need someone to give you the lay of the land when you move. Good to see you and your cute family!
